Kim has released important information regarding Pilates session scheduling

Now that the BFA Senior Solo/Duet Concert has been rescheduled, you will need to sign up for your ticket again. The new dates are Dec. 11 & 12, and all BFA students are required to attend. All dance works will be performed at both concerts. INSTRUCTIONS:  Log in to eCollege with your NetID and password; click on Dance Assembly; and follow the instructions there.

Diversify your dance studies by studying abroad through one of our exchange programs with the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London or the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance in Israel.

The financial aid deadline for DanceJerusalem Spring 2013 is this Friday, November 30. Advising meetings with Frederick Curry may be made through Ryan Lynch at rylynch@rci.rutgers.edu.



Nicole Chantal de Weever, Cultural Ambassador of the island St. Maarten N.A, graduate of New York University Tisch School of the Arts, Fairfax Ballet and Motiance. Nicole is a recipient of the Fred and Adele Astaire Awards 2010 for Best Female Dancer on Broadway. Performed at The View, Stephen Colbert Report, 64th Annual Tony Awards, The BET Honor’s Awards, Obbie Awards, Broadway on Broadway, Broadway in Bryant Park, Afro Pop Hall of Fame Awards, AUDELCO Awards, Black Film Festival, Dance Africa, West Side Story World Tour, FELA! Off-Broadway, FELA! on Broadway and FELA! World Tour. Worked with such choreographers as Katherine Dunham, Bill T. Jones, Joey McKneely, George Faison, Rob Ashford, Frank Gatson, Maria Torres, Abdel Salaam and Jamel Gaines. Has appeared on a Fox News Primetime Special with John Stossel “What’s Great about America”, Nicole has appeared on The Today’s Show with Ann Curry she has been interviewed by Leeann Trotter NBC Chicago, ABC with Tamala Edwards Philadelphia, Principal on commercials on the Oxygen channel, featured dancer on PBS special “Dancing with Life”: Katherine Dunham, American Library of Congress Documentary DVD on Katherine Dunham Technique.  CONTACT _Con-401F45CE1 \c \s \l Nicole de Weever was the assistant to VMA Award winning choreographer Jeffrey Page for Beyonce’s video “Girls Run The World”, Beyonce’s The Billboard Award and Beyonce’s Oprah Winfrey Tribute. Performed with such companies as Forces of Nature Dance Theatre, Creative Outlet of Brooklyn, Prophecy Dance Works and Seventh Principles. Featured model for Vote #44 for Victory President Barack Obama campaign.

Nicole will teach both sections of African this Tuesday, November 27.

Guest artist Assaf Benchetrit will be teaching Ballet 6 at 12:35pm on Thursday, December 6. Assaf, originally from Israel, has danced with the Panov Ballet and the Israeli Ballet. He has performed with United States companies such as The Joffrey Ballet, Metropolitan Classical Ballet, and Alabama Ballet as a principal dancer. Assaf has toured through England, France, Germany, Italy, and more. He holds a BS in Computer Science and a BFA in Dance from Montclair State University.
