THIS WEEK: Senior Solo/Duet Concert, Student Choreography Concert auditions, senior choreography showings, Spring 2013 residency auditions, new intensives posted.
My heartfelt congratulations to all the choreographers, dancers, crew, designers and musicians who assisted with a wonderful two week run of DancePlus. The quality of the dancing and the professionalism of everyone in both joyous and challenging times is something to be very proud of and to take forward as we continue to grow as a Department. As we end the semester, take a moment to thank someone that you didn’t get the chance to thank during this run of DancePlus. Maybe it is a fellow dancer upon whom you rely, maybe it is a member of the stage crew that made it possible for you to perform or maybe it is your costume designer who saved the day with a last minute alteration. I extend my thanks to everyone for making this one of our most successful concerts ever. In the spirit of persistence and resilience exemplified the Battlefield cast, please enjoy this article about Mr. Robert Battle for some important thoughts about maintaining balance while living dance.

Thank you!
