THIS WEEK: A note from Julia, available Pilates appointments, studio sign out, Dance Assembly dates, Mortensen Hall public update, Manuel and Meghan to teach summer session, new professional opportunities posted, DancePlus Fall 2012 video
I am very distressed, as you and all our faculty are, that our studios are unacceptably cold for training. I have informed the Dean that we cannot train or hold rehearsals in such temperatures and have asked for immediate assistance. I will be meeting with Associate Dean Lisa Baratta on Monday to address the spaces. We will be purchasing heat sensors for all the spaces and will continue to monitor them for drops in temperature. If the temperature drops unacceptably low, as it has been the past few days, we will be alternating technique classes to use the spaces that are acceptable. For example, if only Loree and Studio 111 are acceptably warm, then we would hold classes for A and B, and then C and D on alternate days until the heat issue is resolved.
I apologize for this situation and I hope it is resolved very soon so you can continue with your training and creative projects. Thank you for your patience.
