MARCH 27 — Move-Meant: A Symposium on Contemporary Modern Dance. On March 27, 2013 at Rutgers-Newark, featuring Danse4Nia Repertory Ensemble, a Philadelphia-based, multicultural, contemporary modern dance company, committed to using dance to foster personal, cultural, and social change. The symposium includes a daytime dance workshop and an evening performance. Information
APRIL 14 – 10 HAIRY LEGS. Professor Randy James’ all male company makes its New Brunswick debut at the Crossroads Theatre, presenting Rook, a new solo for Nick Sciscione with live music, a major revival of Endured Lull with guest artist Aaron Ramos, Claire Porter’s Interview performed by guest artist Tony Bordonaro of Sleep No More, and The Day After Jesus Was Born, commissioned by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
