Merde to all senior choreographers, their casts and crew for the upcoming BFA Senior Dance Concert on April 18-21 in the Victoria J. Mastrobuono Theater!

Be sure to attend our last Dance Assemblies – April 17, April 24 and May 1st

  • April 17 – EdM Program presents Service Learning in South Africa plus Study Abroad Adventures from Carlo Villanueva, Kyle Marsh and Shelby Dinslage
  • April 24 – Rhythm for Dancers and Advanced Drumming presentations – PLUS: choreographic awards and scholarships for student excellence will be announced
  • May 1st – Choreo I students present solo and duet projects



DANCE ASSEMBLY.  This week’s Dance Assembly, with presentations regarding our Ed.M. and study abroad programs, is required.

Last Spring Production Hours. Please check the Nicholas callboard- the last production hours of the semester have been posted!  Talk to Jacqueline if you have any additional questions about opportunities.

Have you seen his dress?  Anyone who has seen or found a creme-colored dress in or around the Nicholas studios should contact Robert Burke.




APRIL 22 — PILATES WITH DR. BRENT ANDERSON.  We will be hosting Dr. Brent Anderson, President and CEO of Polestar Pilates. Dr. Anderson will be introducing his curricula and philosophies around Pilates teacher training. Dr. Anderson’s presentation will occur during technique class from 11-11:50am, after an abbreviated Technique class. BFA students are required to attend. EdM and BA students are welcome. Students interested in Pilates teacher training should see Kim Gibilisco.





APRIL 18 thru 21 – BFA SENIOR DANCE CONCERT.  Senior BFA students present their choreography.  Facebook Event

APRIL 26-28, MAY 3-5 – DANCEPLUS SPRING 2013.  New work from guest artists Stefanie Batten Bland and Laura Peterson. New work from faculty Paulette Sears, Keith Thompson, and Frederick Curry. Also featuring works of student choreographers Kayla Collymore and Steven Concepcion.  Facebook Event



APRIL 27 – JERSEY MOVES!  The second part of this year’s festival brings a diverse program of works from Timothy Kochka with The Davis Academy, Bani Ray, Nimbus Dance Works, New Jersey Tap Ensemble, Dance Tactics, and American Repertory Ballet. Information



Dance New Amsterdam New York Summer Dance Intensive.  NYSDI offers dancers the opportunity to study and perform at Dance New Amsterdam, one of New York City’s largest and most highly respected dance schools, known for its emphasis on injury-prevention in a supportive, yet challenging, environment. The esteemed Princeton Dance and Theater Studio Summer Intensive is in need of an RA. Information

The Dancing Wheels Company, America’s first, professional, physically integrated dance company, is currently seeking male and female dancers for employment in the 2013 – 2014 season. Information

10 Hairy Legs 2013 NYC Summer Intensive.  This Intensive will focus on preparing dancers (male and female) to explore and challenge themselves as complete artists in preparation for a professional career in the field. You must be at least 16 years of age to participate. Information

Congratulations to Brian Brooks on receiving a 2013 Guggenheim Fellowship!

Congratulations to professor Randy James on the New Brunswick debut of his company, 10 Hairy Legs. In performance were Mason Gross Dance alumni Tony Bordonaro, Aaron Ramos, Cyle Jackson, and Nick Sciscione, and current BFA students Nathan Coder, Evan Flood, Robert Burke, William Tomaskovic, and Carlo Villanueva.

Alumni Return to Menor EdM Candidates. On Thursday, March 28, eight BFA and EdM alumni returned to campus to mentor the 2013 EdM Candidates. Read more
