A FAREWELL NOTE FROM PAULETTE SEARS
To the Department of Dance – Community of Students,
While I have had the greatest pleasure teaching and working with some of you, I nevertheless feel great kinship with all of you in the dance department, whether a BFA, BA, or Ed.M. As I leave Rutgers, newly retired this spring, I carry with me a history of accomplishments earned by our mutual dedication to movement in all its manifestations.
My body and mind know the rich rewards I have gained for myself from a lifetime in the movement world. I am sure that each of you, in your own way, will also uncover the treasures which lie ahead. What the creative impulse continually reinforced for me is that trust in the process of life as choreography in the making will always bring you where you need to be each and every moment.
Thank you for your lively presence, and I wish you all great success and happiness in life.
