SOMA CENTER QUARTET PROTOCOL
In an effort to get as many dancers acclimated to the Soma Center, students need to have completed Pilates Mat class or be currently enrolled in Pilates Mat to sign up for Quartet Training Sessions. Private Sessions are offered upon Faculty recommendation.
Pilates Mat is offered at the following times in the Fall Term:
Thursdays 3:55p-4:55p in Goetz Studio
If you are enrolled or have completed Pilates Mat, please form a quartet with your peers who have similar background in training on the apparatus. For example, if you have never done the training with Kim, please group up with others who have not. If you have gone through the training and wish to continue, group up with others who also have completed the training. Assign a Team Captain, who will be responsible for scheduling the Quartet with Kim. The Team Captain should email Kim 2-3 possible times their group can meet for a session using the below times frames as a guide. Appointments are 55 minutes in length.
Quartets are given standing weekly appointments. It is recommended that you choose TWO times per week. One time a week is also possible.
Quartets are given a total of SIX sessions. In the FIFTH session, you will perform your exercises. Following successful completion of safety guidelines and understanding of these exercises, you will be “green lit” to use the Soma Center at your own discretion. Sometimes dancers need more than SIX sessions before they ready to be “green lit.” Kim will accommodate whatever is needed. The goal is to be as inclusive and safe as possible.
Please contact Kim at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 917-647-6638.
Please note that 48 hours notice is required to cancel your session.
