Ryan Lynch, Administrative Assistant for Student Affairs in Department, is transferring to another position at Rutgers. We thank Ryan for all his time and dedication to our growing department and wish him well in his new position. Ryan’s last day will be November 14.

EMERGING CHOREOGRAPHERS COMPETITION
Rider University is accepting applications for their Emerging Choreographers Competition. The competition is open to all emerging choreographers, aged 18 and above. Twenty finalists will be chosen to audition their work in front of the panel on January 31 at Rider University.
Five choreographers will then be selected to perform their works on May 2, 2015 at the Bart Luedeke Theater at Rider.
There is a $500 honorarium for each of the five selected choreographers. Additionally, one choreographer will be selected to set his/her piece on Rider Dance Majors the following academic year. There will be an additional $500 stipend for the selected Rider choreographer.
Their Chief Adjudicator is Edward Villella. Additional panelists include: Douglas Martin, Artistic Director, American Repertory Ballet, Dr. Kim Vaccaro, Chair, Dance Department, Rider University, and Kerry Gallagher, American Dance Legacy Institute at Brown University.

2015 TAYLOR WINTER INTENSIVE
RUTGERS STUDENT DISCOUNT
The Taylor School is offering a special discount rate on the 2015 Taylor Winter Intensive tuition for tri-state area college and university students. Anyone from the Dance Deptartment at Rutgers interested in taking the 2015 Taylor Winter Intensive will receive a 15% discount on tuition. You just have to send a copy of your valid college ID along with their regular registration documents.
