This Week: New NDEO Student Chapter at Rutgers, Crew Request Forms, BFA Opportunities, Professional Opportunities, and Special Events.
CALLING ED.M & 5th YEAR ED.M-TRACKING STUDENTS
Your help is needed to start a National Dance Education Organization Student Chapter at Rutgers in Spring 15’!
The aim is to fully initiate a graduate student chapter during Fall 2015. In order to start this process, this semester we need 10 students to commit to the development of the chapter and become the founding members!
Rutgers requires a Constitution (which has been developed) along with a mission statement (which is in the process of being drafted). By submitting all of this, we can be recognized as an active GSO (Graduate Student Organization) through the GSA (Graduate Student Association). By becoming affiliated, we receive funding for the annual fee NDEO requires, funding for other opportunities, space to hold meetings and workshops/events, etc. The benefits are endless, but first we need YOU! During our first meeting we will further develop a mission statement and any other documentation required by the GSA and NDEO.
If you are interested in participating or want more information about the process, please email Gabriella Meiterman-Rodriguez at gmeiterman@aol.com with your name, current standing in the Ed.M program, and any other questions you may have. To get the ball rolling, she will send a doodle calendar to determine the availability of the majority interested in holding an informational session during the first week of school!
