ROTATION SCHEDULE
STUDENT BIOS NEEDED FOR SPRING DANCE CONCERT
To All Performers in the Spring Dance Concert only (March 4-7):
To ensure that your BIO is included in the Spring Dance Concert Program Booklet, please submit your BIO via the Google form link provided below UNLESS you performed in a Fall 2014 concert and want to keep the same Bio. Please note that there is a 75 word limit for all Bios. Bios for the Spring Dance Concert must be submitted by the following deadline:
DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING BIOs: Monday, February 16 at Noon (Mason Gross editors will not accept late Bios)
If you performed in the Fall 2014 Senior Solo-Duet or DancePlus concerts you do not need to submit a new Bio unless you want to update it. I am attaching the Fall Program booklet for your reference. I will assume that you do not want to change your Bio unless you submit a new one via the Google form by the Feb. 16th deadline.
CHOREOGRAPHERS
If you are choreographing a piece in the Spring Dance Concert, please keep in mind that your instructors will be asking for your performance credit information shortly, including Name of piece, Choreographer/s, Music Title and Composer’s name, Costume Designer, Performers, Date & Time of your Performance, etc. Please make sure that you spell/punctuate/capitalize Names & Titles exactly how you want them to be published.

REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE CONFLICTS
ATTENTION BFA, BA and EdM Students
- Are You Performing in the Spring Dance Concert, the BFA Senior Concert, and/or DancePlus?
- Do You Have Rehearsal and Performance Conflicts with an Evening Liberal Arts Class?
- Yes? Please Follow the Procedure Below for Requesting Departmental Assistance
Students are responsible for checking their schedules to determine any conflicts between rehearsal/performance obligations and evening liberal arts classes, informing professors of said classes, and making arrangements in advance to complete any assignments/exams that may be missed during that time period. In the case that a professor asks for confirmation from the Dance Department, students MUST follow the procedure listed below:
At least two weeks before the date of the conflict students must send the following information to the appropriate person listed below:
- Student name and RU ID#
- Name of professor and email address
- Name of course and dates for which there are conflicts
BFA majors (including BFA tracking into the EdM) and BA majors:

AN EVENING WITH JESSICA CHEN
Experience a motivational and interactive dance performance by the J. Chen Project, a company directed by dancer Jessica Chen. Chen is known for her work in the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai as well as her performance during Cornell University’s Celebration for Asian American Women. Her training includes the Ailey School, Broadway Dance Center, and Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts.

The audition is for all four repertory workshops. If selected, you may be asked to participate in any number of them (1, 2, 3, or 4), and will receive technique classes free of charge. Exact rehearsal times are to be determined but are normally in the afternoon for three or four hours beginning at 2pm. A limited number of MCT Stipends will be awarded for the Split Sides, Landrover, Locale, and CRWDSPCR workshops. Stipends will be awarded based on both the April 4 audition, and previous participation in classes and workshops.
