Joshua traveled with Davis and RDCC to Rwanda in 2015, where he taught lighting design to street children.  Joshua continues to explore the role of light in world around us in the form of installation pieces at Beacon Church, the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts Time Machine, and Nightscape at Longwood Gardens. ADMINISTRATIVE NOTES AND REMINDERS

Clarifications on Repertory & Workshops for Spring 2017

Please read all below — Thank you.

The two repertory works for Spring 2017 will be Bereishit and Bill T. Jones. Students will only be in cast one work – either Bereishit or Bill T. Jones for spring. Students interested in being considered for both these works must audition for both.

Final casting decisions in January for students who indicate they wish to be considered for both works. Students who audition for Bereishit and do not plan to audition for Bill T. Jones will be notified before January.

Bereishit Repertory will be taught during a spring break intensive with Soon-Ho Park.

March 10-18, 2017 from 9:00am to 6pm

  • Audition on November 2nd8:00am to 11:45am See Brillana Castillo to register for the audition
  • Students cast will register for Modern Dance Repertory

Bill T. Jones Repertory will taught on Fridays from 12:30-3:00pm in Spring 2017

  • Audition on Wednesday, January 18 (not Friday, January 20) – 8:00am-12pm
  • Students cast will register for Modern Dance Repertory

Maxine Doyle, Choreographer for Sleep No More – Special Immersive Workshop

March 13-17, 2017 from 10am to 5pm

  • There is no audition – preference given to 2nd and 3rd year BFA majors. 4th year majors may join a waiting list.
  • Students who wish to participate in Maxine’s workshop will need to register for Independent Study credit for spring 2017 with Julia Ritter. Please email Julia for the independent study guidelines at julia.ritter@rutgers.edu.

PLEASE NOTE: students who are cast in Bereishit would not be able to do Maxine Doyle’s workshop, due to the time conflict during spring break.

Maxine Doyle is scheduled to return to create a new work for students during the Winter Intensive in 2018 and students may audition for that work regardless of whether they have taken the workshop in March 2017.

Please feel free to email Julia with any further questions. Thank you.
