WEEK 2 BALLET AND TECHNIQUE SCHEDULES
BFA majors – Required Dance Assembly at 12pm on Wednesday, January 25 – Reception provided! Support your peers being inducted into the National Honor Society for Dance Arts!
Student government would like to open up the opportunity to receive funding for summer programs or anything that will help you in your artistic career. You can be awarded a maximum of $500 per person. PILATES REFORMER SESSIONS
BFA and BA majors are invited to sign up for free Pilates Reformer small group and private sessions in the Dance Department Soma Center. Students can sign up for a once-a-week, hour-long session. Sessions are available Tuesdays 12-3pm and Wednesdays 12-5pm. Sessions begin on Tuesday, January 24th.
The sign-up sheet for the first half of Spring semester is posted outside the Soma Center, and sign-up is on a first-come basis.
Reformer classes are a wonderful opportunity to supplement your dance training, so please take advantage of this opportunity if your schedule permits.
PROFESSIONAL OPPORTUNITIES & INTENSIVES
Intel Dance Theatre’s Summer Dance Intensive
Inlet Dance Theatre’s Summer Dance Intensive ’17 (SDI ’17) is an aggressive six and a half week training program for ages twelve through young adult. The SDI ’17 focuses on increasing technical skill sets, collaborative creative process, performing improvisation and repertory. The SDI ’17 allows students to experience being a dancer in a professional dance company. SDI ’17 students will learn nontraditional partnering, Hawkins-based release technique, performance improvisation, composition, and repertory. SDI ’17 culminates with performances at Cain Park Evans Amphitheater (Cleveland Heights, OH).
June 14- July 28, 2017
Classes will include nontraditional partnering, Hawkins-based release technique, performance improvisation, composition, and repertory. Student will receive multiple performance opportunities including an informal showing on June 30, 2017 and the culminating concerts at Cain Park Evens Amphitheater on July 26-27, 2017.

HOW MUCH: Tuition for SDI ’17 is $1450 (cost includes all instruction for 6.5 weeks, rehearsals, an Inlet T-shirt, registration fees and costuming). *see below for tuition discounts
2.5 week Option: $485
This program is 2.5 weeks long and runs June 14 – June 30. This includes all morning modern technique classes and afternoon sessions in Improvisation, Nontraditional Partnering, and Choreography. Students in the 2.5 Option will be featured in an informal performance to showcase their talent and growth as dancers at the end of their program.
10 class card: $150
Students may participate in ten morning technique classes. (9:30-11am)
Single class: $15/class
Students may drop in to take a single morning technique class. (9:30-11am)
