Summer 2019 Opportunities
George Street Playhouse
The George Street Playhouse Education staff is currently searching for eager, passionate, and artistic university undergraduates to apply for our summer internship opportunity.
Our interns spend four weeks during the month of July learning from our lead Teaching Artists by assisting in daily lessons and lesson planning, leading a short lesson/game/activity each day, acting as the classroom stage manager and performing many other essential classroom duties. Each of our academy classes focus on student devised theatre, from the writing of the script to original songs and movement pieces.
This year we are specifically looking for a Dance/Choreographer intern to work along side our Academy Choreographer/Movement Artist.
For more information, please contact Angela Peletier, Education Administrative Assistant, at apeletier@georgestreetplayhouse.org
Bates Dance Festival
The Professional Training Program enrolls intermediate and advanced dancers, ages 18 and older, who have previous experience and curiosity in the field of dance. Dancers develop technique and strengthen their knowledge-base. Dance-makers have the opportunity to create and dig into composition and process. Teachers refresh and refine skills for the classroom and the studio.
Choose from a wide variety of technique and somatic offerings in the morning. Design your individual experience by taking a 3-week deep-dive into one intensive or mix and match from diverse one-week offerings in technique, process, and pedagogy.
Visit: Bates Dance Festival Professional Training Program 2019 or speak with Brittany Engel-Adams & Kimberly Bartosik who will be teaching at Bates this summer for more information!
