Hub City Presents: GOYESCAS

A co-production of Hub City Opera and Dance Company of New Brunswick, NJ, and the Mason Gross Dance Department, featuring the works of composer Enrique Granados (1867-1916), inspired by Francisco Goya’s paintings depicting scenes from the Majismo. Choreography by MFA in Dance student Elena Notkina, with music student Enriqueta Somarriba on piano. With Mason Gross dancers, as well as members of the Highland Park Community Chorus and other local choirs. Conducted by alumnus Benjamin Berman; directed by Annamaria Stefanelli.

Rutgers Libraries Schedule

Apply to be a Student Residence Coordinator

The Rutgers University Inn and Conference Center is currently accepting applications for student Residence Coordinator (RC) positions. RCs provide front desk coverage on a rotating basis and support services to overnight guests, conference attendees, and meeting organizers. Compensation includes free housing and a stipend. Fall 2019 Pre-Registration Has Begun—Undergraduate Students

Registration for the Fall 2019 term has begun for Rutgers–New Brunswick undergraduate students and continues through Friday, April 19. Registration is by degree credits already earned. The last day to withdraw from the university for spring 2019 is April 22. Please email studenthelp@registrar.edu for additional information, or learn more here.

The schedule of classes for the Summer 2019 term is now available. Choose from more than 2,500 courses in a wide range of subjects, offered in-person, online, or at off-campus locations throughout the state. Make progress towards graduation, improve a GPA, or fulfill a prerequisite this summer. Start planning schedules now and register beginning on February 18. Learn more here

University Diploma Application

Undergraduate students who anticipate completing May 2019 degree requirements must apply for graduation by submitting a diploma application online. Please contact the Undergraduate Registrar’s Office at 848-445-2757 and ask for Monica Licourt or Michael Rusen, or email diplomas@registrar.rutgers.edu with any concerns about a diploma application. Please note that completion of a diploma application does not imply that graduation requirements have been met.

University Commencement Parking Hangtag

University Commencement will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at HighPoint.com Stadium on the Busch Campus. With more than 50,000 people expected on campuses in Piscataway and New Brunswick, parking on campus will be limited. Therefore, graduating students must register to receive up to two free parking hangtags for themselves and their families or guests. Registration for special-needs parking hangtags and for non-special-needs tags is now open. Learn more here.

Volunteers Needed for University Commencement—All Students

The Office of the Secretary is seeking students to volunteer as Commencement Ambassadors for Rutgers University’s 253rd Anniversary Commencement on Sunday, May 19, 2019. Co-workers, friends, neighbors, and family members may also volunteer. All Ambassadors receive event training, a Commencement T-shirt, a branded Rutgers duffle bag as a thank-you gift, a breakfast buffet before Commencement, snacks, entry into a volunteer raffle, and the satisfaction of making the day even better for Rutgers’ newest alumni. A few hours of volunteering helps make this event a special experience for the Rutgers Class of 2019. Learn more and register here.

Commencement Speakers

Super Bowl champions and Rutgers alumni Jason McCourty and Devin McCourty of the New England Patriots will deliver the 253rd commencement address to Rutgers-New Brunswick and Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences graduates on May 19. They will also receive honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees in recognition of their commitment to community service and philanthropy.

Mindfulness Meditation Spring 2019

BFA, MFA, EdM, BFA, BA majors and Dance Minors are invited to sign up for free Pilates Reformer small group sessions in the Dance Department Soma Center.  Students can sign up for a once-a-week, hour-long session.  Sessions are available Wednesdays 4-7 pm and Thursdays 3-5 pm, and begin on Wednesday, March 27th.  The sign-up sheet for the second half of Spring semester is posted outside the Soma Center, and sign-up is on a first-come basis.  Reformer classes are a wonderful opportunity to supplement your dance training, so please take advantage of this opportunity if your schedule permits.

They have presented works at Peridance Spring Choreographers Showcase, NYC Dance & Music Festival, Kat Wildish Showcase, & the Artists in Flight Showcase at the TADA! Theater.
